iXSurvey Limited Completes Site Surveys in Caspian Sea

 

iXSurvey Limited recently completed a series of site surveys for In Depth Productions Limited on behalf of KEPCO / NIOC.

The iXSurvey team mobilised DGPS positioning systems, USBL positioning system, a singlebeam echosounder and an Edgetech 2000-DSS towfish onto the locally chartered vessel, MV Guilan. Three sites were surveyed in water depths up to 800 metres.

 

The survey identified large areas of shallow gas, mud volcanoes and faulting in the surface sediments, with the report being delivered to the client within 2 weeks of demobilisation from Iran.
