iXSurvey set up nine current meters on the East coast of Scotland, from Inverness to Edinburgh as part of the METOC project. The results of this one-month measurement campaign will enable oceanographers to calibrate their tidal model for the Scottish east coast. Sea bed frames together with vessel mounted ADCPs were utilised to gather current velocities. In addition Rhodamine dye tracing , and drogue tracking completed the measurement phase.
