During August 2008, iXSurvey was contracted by CGG Veritas Limited to undertake a pre-seismic hazard clearance survey in Block 43 of the Southern North Sea, over the Dogger Bank.
The survey vessel MV iXPlorer was mobilised to site and survey operations were conducted using Reson 8101 multibeam echosounder and iXSea Phins II inertial navigation system.
The survey crew were in close contact with the team onboard MV Laurentian, the seismic vessel, throughout operations, with data transfers occuring in the field. Processed and quality controlled data was delivered to the Laurentian prior to the iXPlorer arriving in port for demobilisation.
