In Depth Productions Site Surveys Caspian Sea
iXSurvey were contracted by In Depth Productions Limited to survey three locations in the Caspian Sea prior to installation of a semi-submersible drilling rig.
Data were acquired from a locally chartered vessel in water depths of up to 800 metres utilising Odom Echotrac singlebeam echosounder and Edgetech 2000DSS combined sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiler, tracked with a Simrad HPR400 USBL system.
Data from the survey highlighted significant shallow gas deposits, together with mud volcanoes, faulting and fissures. The report of survey was delivered to IDP less than 3 weeks after the iXSurvey team returned to the UK, demonstrating iXSurvey's ability to deliver a project effectively and quickly.
